Seaworks Kabel has executed an emergency repair on a subsea-fiberoptic cable in the Hammerfest area.
Scope of work included ROV survey and recovery of the damaged cable, splicing of old to new cable and installation of new cable from splice to landfall area.
Due to bad weather in the area the repair got delayed until the weather improved enough, this to ensure the safety of our highly skilled personnel and cable vessel Fjordkabel.
The repair was executed as planned and without any unforeseen issues or mishaps.
